ETB-112 – Pulse Amplitude Modulation and Demodulation (PAM) Trainer is an educational laboratory model designed to demonstrate the principles of PAM signal generation and recovery. The trainer provides hands-on experience with one of the fundamental pulse modulation techniques, where the amplitude of regularly spaced pulses varies in accordance with the amplitude of the analog message signal.
This unit includes an in-built power supply and clearly laid-out circuit blocks for both modulation and demodulation stages. It is ideally suited for analog and digital communication labs to help students understand signal sampling, pulse modulation, and the reconstruction of analog signals from pulse trains.
Key Features:
-
Demonstrates PAM signal generation and demodulation
-
Built-in regulated power supply for standalone operation
-
Clear circuit layout for modulation and demodulation sections
-
Visual understanding of time-domain signal behavior using CRO
-
Adjustable message and sampling signals (optional depending on model)
-
Practical exposure to the basics of pulse communication systems
-
Suitable for analog/digital communication and electronics courses
