The MPU9250 is a 9-DOF (Degrees of Freedom) Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that integrates a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope, and 3-axis magnetometer in a single compact chip. It is an upgraded version of the MPU6050, widely used in advanced robotics, drone navigation, motion tracking, and academic research projects.
The MPU9250 provides full 9-axis motion tracking, making it suitable for orientation estimation, sensor fusion algorithms, navigation systems, VR/AR research, autonomous drones, robotics SLAM, and wearable devices.
